SMTP
Send Aegis email through your own mail server.
At a glance
| Direction | Out of Aegis. |
|---|---|
| What it sends | The email Aegis sends — notifications, invitations, reminders — when your instance has no system mail server. |
| Where it lands | The recipients' mailboxes, from the sender address and name you set. |
| Credentials and permissions |
The server, port, username, password and encryption
(none,
tls or ssl) of an account allowed to send
as the sender address.
|
| Owner of imported records | Not applicable: nothing is imported. |
| When it runs | At the moment an email is sent. |
| Set it up |
/connectors/smtp, by people allowed to configure
connectors, on a plan that includes the connector. The connector
stays disconnected until a test email succeeds.

Good to know
- A mail server configured for your instance by Euraika takes precedence over this connector; ask Euraika which one your instance uses.
- Changing the server or port asks you to enter the password again: a stored password is only sent to the server it was entered for.
